Baptism of Jesus
We begin the new year in the Church with Jesus' baptism. Why did Jesus have to be baptized?
"To fulfill all righteousness".
What's that? Being baptized was the way he fulfilled the prophecy that he would follow God's plan to save people from sin. Basically it was his YES to God's will.
