Jesus says the kingdom of God is like 10 virgins with OIL LAMPS. These virgins were to meet the a BRIDEGROOM but needed to bring some oil to light their lamps in case he came at night. Half were PREPARED and the other were not. Same with us. We need to be PREPARED for Christ when he returns. No one knows when, so we have to keep that oil in hand and lamp READY to greet him at any given moment-the oil is our being prepared through our GOOD WORKS, PRAYERS, LOVE and CHARITY to the world.
