OUR CROSSES

Jesus poses a difficult challenge in this week's gospel. He says, "If anyone comes to me without hating his father and mother,
wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple." Wow. At first its like, WHOA! That seems really harsh JESUS. But what he's saying is that GOD must be the most important thing in our life. Yes, love your mom, dad, brother, sisters, aunties, uncles. gramma, grandpa--everyone--but above all LOVE GOD. It's hard to do especially because we can't touch nor see God physically. BUT we can when we spend time with him and talk with him. His love will be revealed. He GAVE us our families and friends who love us-if he did that, then how much do you think he loves us. He loves us soooo much, he sacrificed his only son JESUS to suffer for us. He didnt have to. He could have snapped his fingers and made things all good. BUT he CHOSE to do that to SHOW US how much he loves us. Thank you God.
